Stephen Cluney

Widely recognized as one of the major forces in shaping the coaching profession, Stephen specializes in working with CEOs and executives with an approach that integrates coaching and advising.

Stephen joined forces with Thomas Leonard in 1992 to develop the world's best-known coaching school, Coach University, and in 1995 was part of the small group who launched the ICF (International Coaching Federation). Stephen is helping to develop the profession in Italy and is an adjunct professor on the faculty of New York University's Coaching Certificate program.

Recently, in two years as President of a 90-year old luxury leather accessory company, Stephen oversaw development of more than 200 new products - leaving the firm poised to turn a profit for the first time in nine years. It's one more stop in a varied career that began in retail, selling luxury men's clothing, and included a stint on Wall Street, from an equity retail stockbroker to branch manager for Equitable Securities of New York.
